Pole Folder: Hollow (Robert Babicz Saturn Rings remix) Amazing atmospheric prog house cut from Pole Folder and Robert Babicz. Very modern but still reminds me a lot from golden Global Underground years and Sasha & Digweed’s emotion filled prog from early 2000. Simple and hypnotic bassline groove carrying track from the beginning and a superb male vocal kicking after minutes of teasing. Makes you want to turn the volume up. Sublime!

Way Out West: Only Love (Original Club mix) Single taken from Way Out West’s forthcoming ‘We Love Machine’ album. I have very high hopes for the album based on the 4-5 tracks I’ve heard from it. There is also an instrumental version of ‘Only Love’ but for listening purpose I enjoy the vocal mix more. At club the the instrumental version or Jerome Isma-ae’s remix would be the ones. This is very much like Jody Wisternoff’s recent tracks but you can hear Nick Warren being on board too. Btw, Jody Wisternoff will be headlining the my Jack prog house night’s anniversary afterhours in November. The main event headliner is my alltime fave prog house DJ Dave Seaman of Renaissance / Brothers in Rhythm fame. Veeery excited about that line-up!

Ashley Wallbridge: Solidaritet Ashley is one of recent years’ best fresh producers. Great groovy trance/prog/electro house hybrid tracks. And this is in my opinion his finest work so far. So simple yet so effective. Great for early trance sets or even late night full on prog bombs.

Morgan Page: Fight For You (Sultan & Ned Shephard Remix) This vocal is so poppy but at the same time filled with emotion and I think the vocalist’s voice is sooo nice. Sultan & Shepard on the other hand don’t seem to go wrong with anything they do currently. Bomb remix after bomb and they balance perfectly the underground groove with great hooks. There is also dub for those not enjoying the vocal.

Sami Saari: Electric Love This month’s finnish bomb comes from Sami Saari. This could be his finest work till date and IMO one of the highlights of Andy Moor’s recent ‘Breaking The Silence’ mix CD. Sami has found nicely his new sound in the more proggy/housey/electro influenced material but you can still hear and feel his trance background in it. This is also a track that could fit many different sets and events. Nice bridge between more proggy and full on material.

Monogato: Miami Vibe (Omnia Remix) Quite Andy Moorish / David Westish stuff here from Omnia. Rocking and groovy bassline with some nice gated vocals remiinding me of David West’s remix of Dominic Plaza’s ‘Sounds Ruching’ from five years ago. Acoustic guitars and arpeggios complement the piece nicely and to me this oozes summer all the way through. There seems to be really good stuff coming from Eastern Europe, Russia and Ukraine currently. And Omnia is just 22 years old (AFAIK) so let’s hope he keeps on keeping on.

Mac & Mac: Solid Session (First State Remix) This is the kind of more typical big room stuff that I enjoy. First State always have their groove in place. I played my first gig in Gallery at Ministry of Sound couple weeks ago and this rocked the main room big time. All in all that was one of my alltime fave gig experiences. Great club and sound system, enthusiastic crowd, very professional stuff… what else can a DJ ask?

Matt Cassar: 7 Days & One Week (Myon & Shane 54 Remix Edit) I have quite biased view on remixing trance classics (prefer looking into future rather than past) but this one I genuinely enjoy. Especially at clubs it works very well. The original sounds great too even today. So simple yet so effective…

Ronski Speed: The Deep Devine (Gareth Emery remix) This one was already out when putting last Radio Unity together but to be honest I wasn’t super excited when hearing this first time but it’s been growing on me ever since and now I actually think it’s one of Gaz’s best remixes. Here I’ve taken the tempo down from the original 135bpm to 132 bpm as I feel the original tempo feel slightly rushed with the heavy shuffling groove. Anyway and any tempo though it’s a sure floor burner! And those pianos in the breakdown are soooo late 90s BT that they always bring smile to my face.

Jako, ze chlopaki jak zwykle sie obijaja, ja pozwolilem sobie czynic honory i zapodawac comiesieczne epizody Radio Unity.

Widze ze nikt sie nie pali, zatem słówko ode mnie.

Pierwszy kawałek początkowo jakos do mnie nie przemawiał, ale przy 2-3 przesłuchaniu wkręcił mnie juz dosc mocno, bardzo fajny progresywny klimat, zresztą - zgadzam się niemal ze wszystkim co na jego temat naskrobał sam Orkidea.

Dwójka, jak przystało na WOW bardzo przyjemna, ładny vocal, przyznam sie, ze to dopiero pierwszy mój odsłuch jakiegokolwiek materiału z nowego albumu, no i póki co na plus.

Kawalek Wallbridge'a póki co jakos mi nie podchodzi i niespecjalnie rozumiem zachwyty nad tym utworem, dalej 'Fight For You' - zdaje sie ze ta sama wokalistka co przy 'Longest Road', kawałek bardzo popowy, ale jednoczesnie dosc chwytliwy... wydaje mi sie jednak, ze rownie szybko nudzi się, co wpada w ucho...

Electric Love - zdecydowanie jeden z lepszych kawalkow audycji, juz od pierwszego odsluchu wpada w ucho.

Monogato - Miami Vibe (Omnia Remix) - prawie mnie dzisiaj zakatowało, cholernie przypominało mi jakis kawalek, a nie moglem dojsc co to jest, opis Orkidei czytalem duzo wczesniej i w ogole tego z Moorem nie skojarzyłem, a kiedy juz skojarzyłem, to wiem, juz o co chodzi - bliźniaczo podobne do 'Air For Life' prawie ten sam utwór tylko nieco mniej bpm...

dalej - niezły kawałek Mac & Mac i niezly remix First State, następnie niesamowite zaskoczenie - nie spodziewalem sie ze ten jakikolwiek remix tego numeru mi podejdzie, tymczasem Myon & Shane 54 zrobili z 7 Days & 1 Week świetny, 'współczeszny' kawałek, niesamowicie mi ta interpretacja podchodzi...

Na zamknięcie remix The Deep Divine od Emery'ego - jak dla mnie taki sobie.

Ogólnie 009'ka taka sobie, chociaz kilka jasnych punktów standardowo da się znaleźć...

Nie pali się, bo jeszcze nie było czasu na przesłuchanie . BTW dzisiaj ukazała się "Club EP" Union Jack, na której jest właśnie remix Orkidei do "Two Full Moons & A Trout". Goście z UJ są tak zakręceni, że pisali o Tapio jak o członku zespołu, a w dodatku nie poprawili błędu z anonsu na MySpace i ostatecznie autor remiksu podpisany został "Orkedia" .

Co do samej tracklisty, to nie dziwią przynajmniej dwa numery. 1) Nie mogło zabraknąć kawałka kumpli z Way Out West, w końcu Orkidea przygotowuje teraz trancową interpretację "Ajare", a tę bardziej progresywną można już przesłuchać na jego majspejsie. 2) "Solid Session" - kilka epizodów temu grał utwór RAM-a - "Solid Hope", a w nagraniu którego pomagał mu KC. Główny motyw jest dokładnie taki sam i zaczerpnięty został z oldschoolowego kawałka z 1. połowy lat 90.
